The El Medio Fire Protection District will provide the highest quality service to the community accomplished by fire prevention,
timely emergency response, stringent training standards, and community involvement
PUBLIC SERVICES
We provide a variety of services to
the community within our district to
build relationships by protecting and
serving.  These services are free
and include, but are not limited to:

  • Smoke Detector Checks
  • Fire Prevention Education
  • Fire Hazard Checks
  • Swimming Pool Fills
  • Animal Rescue
  • Public Courtesies
  • From helping you up, to
    changing a light bulb.
  • Showing Up to Children's
    Events
  • Birthdays
  • Graduations
  • Sick Visits
  • Wherever we can help!
RIDE ALONGS

We provide ride alongs to the public pending approval by the shift supervisor and Chief.

  • Sleepers
  • those who are volunteers, media, students, interested persons, and those interested
    in the fire service.
  • bring your own bedding and food.
  • dress professionally
  • follow as directed by Fire Personnel
  • may be asked to leave
DISTRICT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM  

This program provides specific district improvements to members of the district who need them.

  • Provide numbers for addresses so they are easily seen to improve our Emergency
    Response Times when you call 911.
  • Weed Abatement: for those who are unable to meet prevention standards for weed
    abatement due to injury, sickness, or physical disability.
  • District Maintenance: service fire hydrants, public assisted district clean-up

The El Medio Fire Department holds or Participates in an array of events throughout
the year, dates and times for events are updated regularly.
